XH A1 stolen

I had an XH A1 stolen from my cinematographer's car. Luckily I had the tape we shot that day, but I haven't been able to capture the footage ( I own a JVC HD-110 and my school uses Sony decks that also don't play it.) If anyone in the So Cal area could take some pity on me and let me use their camera to capture one tape, I'd be chuffed.

I have a laptop and the tape is 50 minutes, so I wouldn't be intruding on anyone for long.

Anyone with an HV10, HV20, XH A1, XH G1 or XL H1 will be able to do it if it's 24f.

It's too bad your XH A1 got stolen. How are you going to finish your project?

We shot everything except the establishing shots (EXT) on the JVC HD 100, so we have the footage for all of the scenes. Still would like to have all of the exteriors, it was a nice place.

Thanks for the heads up on camera types that will work. I extend an offer of Guiness or Stella lager to anyone who has fifty minutes to spare and owns one of these Canons.

totally off topic but how does the canon a1 footage compare with the HD100 footage? I've been wanting an HD100 because of the form factor. I love that it feels like a real ENG camera and I love the lens, but have not been that satisfied with the footage that I've seen come from it.

I think the airfare might offset the offer

Thanks though. We're going to submit to the E. film festival, might hop the pond if we get in.

Real nice with skin tones and 24p. It could use a better lens actually, but with a good videographer, this thing is a sharp tool.
