Hi guys,

I have ssome problems on getting bright pictures I believe. I have tried a few PRESETs from dvinfo.net. I use iMac to capture and FCP to composite. All colors are great however when i watch in my PC ( CRT or LCD ) image is not that much bright. It is not because of my monitor's settings because i also watch another movies and they have just great colors..

Even i tried lots of PRESET's should i also make some other settings? I mean those presets also affect brightness and constrast? To get a good film look like a real HD thing, what kind of settings would you prefer? or presets?

Thank you

If your problems specific to your PC then it's unlikely to be a camera PRESET problem. Especially if you've captured on an iMac and it looks fine on ur iMac? Try messing with the overlay options in your pcs video adapter properties.. Also if there's gain on ur iMac's video playback then the capture may be at fault. Are you capturing using firewire or a hdmi capture? HDMI has many teething problems with live capture i've heard. Write it onto DVD from ur iMac, does it still look dull on a standard DVD player?

Well it is fine with on iMac. I capture with firewire. I can watch other movies and they are just vivid but i can not get that much vivid color. I think lack of constrast.

Btw, I deleted some of my A1's original presets by mistake. Is there a way to get them back?

The viewfinder looks a little bit different than the captured footage depending on your settings.

Hook up your camera to a calibrated monitor and mess around with your camera's display settings until they match each other.
