XH-A1 Battery Compatibility??

I recently bought an aftermarket battery on ebay that the seller claims is for the A1, however, when I received it I looked at the terminals and noticed that it only has (+) & (-) contacts and is missing the other 3 terminals that appear on the genuine Canon battery that came with the A1.

The battery does power the A1 and I did not notice anything different, however, I was wondering if the missing terminals provide some other functionality to the camera which these aftermarket batteries don't, or worse if the camera will be damaged.

Has anyone else used aftermarket or XL2 batteries in their A1/G1 or H1??
Cheers!

I got some old style BP-945 batteries for my A1 and they worked fine. I never looked at them to see what-all they had for contacts but they worked normally. I wouldn't worry about it.
