Gutted I did not get the g1 now as great HD-sdi recorders are coming out now.

It's 2010, I have paid off the camera but do not want to buy a new one. Instead I am looking to upgrade the a1 with a shoulder mount like a multirig pro, balanced with a firestore or preferably better solid state system. Basicly anything that will make the camera easier to shoot hand held and reduce post time. Nzd. Anyones thoughts

If you're gonna do that I would sell the A1 and replace it with an A1s. The 4 pin FW on the A1 is extreme fragile and I would never plug a firestore in there. It can get caught and break the FW port or it can slip out during recording and ruin your take. The 6 pin FW is much more robust.

The aim of the game is to not buy a new camera. But I guess if I sold my current setup and bought a new setup it wouldnt cost too much. Problem is I want a lighting kit etc so was hoping to no upgrade the cam this year.
