XH-A1 $250 rebate extended to Sept. 30

Hey there,

I've been thinking long and hard about buying a camera, and first just want to say thanks to everyone here for helping me make a decision. Anyway, I was going to pull the trigger on the XH-A1 as this is the last day of the rebate, I believe. But I cruised over to the USA canon site to take a last look and noticed a small ad down on the lower right hand side saying they are offering a $250 rebate from July 1 to Sept. 30. When you click the ad, however, it takes you to their promotions page where there is no further information. So I called them and talked to one of their reps. He told me the rebate will go into effect tomorrow (July 1st), and that the new rebate info will be available then. Long story short: you have another 3 months to take advantage of the $250 discount--this time directly through Canon. Just thought people should know.

Excellent news! I just read that and was about to post it but you beat me to it. I am very interested in this camera but need just a litlle more convincing that it's right for my purposes and now I have 3 more months to decide. (and save to avoid any plastic usage!)

Me too, though Ive been contemplating it since Feb:undecided

I kinda sorta need a new car, maybe with air conditioning...or I can sweat it out in the nice humid heat and come home to my A1. Along with the LetusFE the images are tempting, now with the extended rebate plus another 100 off from Newegg, I think its time to pull said trigger:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)
