XH-A! Stops Recording Problem?

Greetings All! I am a brand new member with a timely issue. My XH-A1 engaged in shooting under normal conditions now fails to display an image on the viewfinder and Record. Power and Playback seem normal. I read the manual and Reset the camera which was successful by my needing to reset dates, etc. Does anyone know of this problem or can offer some advice? Might there be other resources/forums where this problem has been discussed? I am down and need to be shooting an hour ago. Thanks!

Did you flip the switch to "lock?" Make sure it's set to "standby." It's the switch that surrounds the record button.
