XF Utility - Set Virtual Media

Hi

Just got an XF 300. Loving it but cannot get my head around setting a virtual media file on an external drive. My understanding is that with the update to XF Utility 1.1.0 this is now possible to allow shot material to be saved to an external drive and subsequently re read by the XF Utility from that drive.
The problem is we cannot set a folder on the external or on the internal hard drive to be that Virtual Media Folder.
We can set the Virtual Media folder within the utility itself.
Anyone able to point me in the right path please.
 
Update, for anyone interested. I sorted this out. It seems the first thing to do is to actually put some files from your CF Card into a a folder on either your hard or external dive and set the virtual media otherwise the XF Utility will not let you set the path.
The other mistake I made was in spite of preserving the CONTENTS\clips file structure, I had created 2 levels above this with DAY1\CARD-A\CONTENTS\CLIPS etc. It seems the XF Utility only allows you to have one level above the CONTENTS.

This time i make more the 3000 Shots,
dont love to sort this things out, if u dont got a SW like Edius.
It's horrible !!!
To search for special shots its a bit confused.
