C300: XF Utility not setting virtual media

Apologies if this is not the correct forum, but I figure this is the only forum with everyday users of Canon XF Utility. I am shooting with a Canon C300 with firmware 1.1.1.1.00 on to Sandisk Extreme Pro 32 GB CF cards.

I am trying unsuccessfully to set virtual media from a contents file I have backed up on my computer hard drive.

My procedure is this: put CF card with field footage into card reading slot in Windows 7 desktop. Windows recognises the card.
Then open Canon XF Utility ver 1.3.2. The card is recognised by XF Utiltiy.

Press Backup button to bu to hard drive. This has been done successfully. All file "wrappers" are intact. Contents folder is there too.
I then try to "Set Virtual Media" (who thinks up these names...) by navigating to the correct folder, but all I get is a greyed out "OK" button preventing me from selecting the folder. Arrgh.

Its not like I haven't done this before, I have a hundred times but something now is not working as it should.

What have I missed? Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

I should add that I can "Set Virtual Media" to the actual CF card whilst its in the computer, just not the back up. Copying and pasting the whole Contents folder also doesn't allow me at set virtual media.
