XC10 External power

Hi. Do any of you know of any good way to power a XC10 on a rig?
I've been looking at many different V-mount battery plates and it seems like 7.2 volts is more or less standard. This works well with DSLRs when using a dummy battery but the XC10 does not have a slit to run the cable from the battery bay that most DSLRs have. Trying to find a solution that could provide power using the 8.4V DC-connector on the camera but im comming up short. Any Ideas?

Hi,
I have the same question about a canon xa10.
-Firstly , did you find a solution and if so what did you come up with?
-Secondly, after spending some time searching the internet and reading electronoics forums I believe that this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00935L44E/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza would do the trick.
It is 9volt and 2 A output but it seems that the .6 volts should not cause any adverse effects. the original power adapter for my camera is 8.4v 2A.
Of course I would like to know if any one has travelled this path and what their solutions were.
Cheers
Tony

This won't help you unless you want to trade the camera in, but Canon changed the power input for the XC15. The XC15 uses the same AC Power as the C100, which is different than the odd connection used by the XC10.

Thanks. I Haven't found any great solutions to this yet. The best plan I've had so far would be to use something like this D-Tap to Canon C100 from wooden camera and replace the plug with the one found on the CA-570, but the converter is crazy expensive and I'm afraid it delivers too much juice. To trade in the camera could also be an option but I think I then would rather go for a diffrent camera all together.
