Hi.
I just recently bought the XA20 to use for a "family-camera" and for small jobs on the side. (I work professionally as a cameraman for national television)
I am having some regrets now, I dont think the camera deserves to be marketed as a professional camera. This is due to how it is to operate knobs/meny etc, but its a fantastic consumercamera though.
Anyway, I have found a setup that kind of works now, but there is still one major problem. Even though I set the gain to 0db, there is still a LOT of noise/grain crawling all over the video. This is no matter what f-stop, shutter speed or avchd/mpg codec I use, gain is as I said 0db. Does any of you know what this noise is, it really seems like som kind of gain-ussue? Have I missed something in the setup?
Here is a link to an original video-file so you can see for yourself.
Hope some of you can tell me the camera isnt as bad as it seems, that this can be corrected in the setup or something. (I doubt it though)
