Is now the best time to buy XA10? I have seen it as low as $1358 brand new. I am currently deciding which to get. Is the savings of $850 worth it? Or is the XA20 soo much better that it is worth spending the extra money. I am new to camcorders and appreciate any advice here.
If you need it now, you don't have any choice. If you can wait, wait a little longer until Canon inevitably drops the price. If you can't wait that long, when the XA2x comes out buy a used XA10 for much cheaper when dozens of people who never needed a video camera upgrade to an XA20 in the hope this will at last let them shoot video. Then a few months later if it's not good enough sell the XA10 for a hundred bucks less than you paid for it and get the XA2x at the new cheap price. This advice from someone who a few years ago had to buy a HFS 100 at the release price of around $2000 and could have got one for around half that price a few months later.
I need an info please: I take interest about image quality only. In your opinion does Vixia HG20 give the same image quality than Vixia HG30 (for defualt that is withouth manipultion to modify the image)?
Thanks
