Hi, i was wondered if the sound would be as good on xa10 + rode lavalier compare to a canon 60d + rode lavalier.

Do the xlr inputs of the xa10 would be as good as a 3.5mm connection.

What about a juicedlink ? Would it be superior ?
Thanks in advance,

the thing is i would like to buy a camera xa10 and use a rode lavalier with it. I was wondering if i will have a good sound.

I honestly think your asking the wrong questions. You should learn more about sound and then the questions you are asking will be self evident. Take a look at some of the stickies in the audio section, Google, and ask questions about sound in general not about specific gear combinations. With that in mind I will try to answer you questions.

Juicedlink makes preamps. A quality premap is always recommended. I don't have much experience with Juicedlink but it's better than the built in Pres in any prosumer camera. XLR is a superior connection to 3.5mm and provides phantom power, however, switching audio connections alone will not effect sound quality and is not a reason to switch cameras. The preamps, connections and user controls/monitor is undoubtedly better in the XA10...its a real video camera, not a DSLR. Will you hear a difference? Depends on a lot of things.

Good sound is relative. In my opinion you can get decent results from the XA10 as an audio recorder and you might not even hate the preamps in it if you decide to plug you mic directly into the camera. That being said, good sound is mostly going to depend on your skills as an audio operator (mic placement, elminiating room noise, acoustic treatment, etc.)...like video you have to work for it, you can't just expect to spend lots of money and get good results...it just doesn't work that way as much as manufactureres try to convince you it does.
