Hi Everyone.

I will attend at Glendale Steadicam Workshop next 8 & 9 September. As I live in Brazil I will take this opportunity to buy my Steadicam System used from someone that have a Flyer in good conditions available. Preferable from LA area.

I want to have list of accessories and detail pictures in advance but I want to deall personally and pay in cash if possible! We can always discuss another plan as well.

PM or email'me your offer: LRMPRODUCER at GMAIL dot COM.

Cheers
Roberto

Have you contacted the workshop? Maybe they might have some for sale and at a discount.

Hi Smithy.

I contacted Peter Abraham, he is providing a list with possible units available. I also received some contacts, hope to find my unit among them.
I am affraid of return to Brazil, after the workshop, leaving the US without this flyer in hands!

So, if anyone else are thinking of to give a use for some possible unit of a steadicam flyer that is forgot in the corner of a dark small room, please, take this opportunity, and help a south american citizen starting his indie company, help him acquire a high standart device as the flyer is.

Remembering always that this is not guarantee of good footage as result... sorry...... kkkk... just kiding!

Cheers

Well if you really want it I suppose you can buy it at EVSONLINE.com or Abelcine.com..They are both in Glendale. You can arrange pickup when you arrive. I thought since seminar is going thru all that trouble to teach I would think they would offer you a kickback in getting the product in the first place. You kinda wonder how good is this seminar.

The Steadicam workshops are top notch. And yes you can buy units right there if you want (the workshop in question is held at the Steadicam factory).

However I belive Roberto is looking to find a used unit to cut costs if possible, which is fair enough.

I think he should just bite the bullet and get it new and at a decent discount..it can't be that much of a savings unless the seller doesn't know the real value of what he/she is selling. Considering he going all the trouble to fly to the US to learn how to use it...a brand new discounted product would make more sense. Especially if something goes wrong..he is so far away...to have any decent product support it would be unfruitful to get a used product.

Hi Mikko. As I talked you that´s is the case, I am saving as money as I can. Searching a good used unit and making friends.

Hi Smithy. You are totally right. It will be great if companies, resellers thinked the same way as you. But I am facing a different reality.

So, Mikko gets the picture. I am making the option to deal with real persons, that most of time are very friendly, telling me aspects that I have to consider, teaching me new things, interested by my curiosity. These are the people that I am interested in to make a deal. Most of the time the money is not the issue. Everything in terms of equipment have it explicit value. The good thing is the sensation of being part of a community, as people do here in DVX and lots of other forums I am member (DVInfo, SteadicamForum, M2Forum). That feeling gives me the support I need to continuing my job as an artist.

Thanks always for your considerations, Cheers,
