WTB: Beat up FS7

Hey,

On a low budget nonprofit doc where I need something like an FS7/FS5 for a workhorse. Looking for a really roughed up, well loved, but functional FS7 in the sub 1500 range; local to NYC, DC, or Upstate NY would be ideal. Any price cuts would be going to a very good cause. On the off chance someone's got a substantially damaged but functional c300ii/c200/EVA1, that would also be great, but not holding my breath on that. Any ENG-style cine that can do 4k with Nd's also of interest. Thanks so much.

Do you know about Video Consortium? You might have some luck reaching out to that community, either via their FB page (posting a call for gear) or on their forums. https://videoconsortium.org/

If you're willing to settle for an FS5 you should be able to find one in the ~$1500 range on eBay.

Do you need the camera for continual use or is this a project where a rental or loan would work?

Politics will not be tolerated on the forum, and have absolutely nothing to do with a WTB thread (or any Marketplace listing). One warning. That’s it.

Alex H. apologies-- i simply meant to respond to that person to end the discussion. I didnt mean to bring politics into it in my original post, I was simply trying to provide non-profit context. Will not respond to anyone else doing something similar and apologies again. Agree and respect the rules here that this is just for buying and selling.

I wasn't familiar-- thank you so much for this heads up I will absolutely check this out, really appreciate it. Figured buying it would make more sense as this is a 6+ mo project but if I was able to rent that would probably work out as well. Really excited to look into this, thank you again.

Happy to help. I'm in the Midwest these days (though originally East Coast) so probably can't be of immediate assistance, but I do have an FS5 that I occasionally loan/rent out for people/projects I'd like to support. Six months might be a touch long, but feel free to contact me if you're having trouble finding something via other routes.
