WTB: Arri Softbox 1 kit

just a suggestion, as someone who has a softbank kit from work: go a la carte.
The arri fresnel lights are amazing but the case is huge, heavy, and not really useful. And the softbox is a standard chimera and isn't any better light quality than a Rifa, which is much easier to use. I'd think a used softbank kit would still be over $2k and you could buy some used arri fresnels and a new softbox light for that much and have money left to buy grip equipment, like flags, scrims, and cuc's plus some pelican cases and c-stands. The grip stuff is as important as the lights.

I second that. Don't go by brand. I just bought a nice setup from interfit, cost me 500 + shipping, and I'm glad I didn't pay more for a set of kino flo's. I got the same lighting quality for less. check out the ones from coollights.biz, they have nice setups at a good price. Or the rifa light is a good alternative from lowell.
