Re: WOW Look at this kids work!

The new site will be up by 11pm tonight. Hopefully much sooner. The files will be smaller than before. The site also has a much cooler design.

Dial up? Dude.

Re: WOW Look at this kids work!

Save it to our hard drives how? I've never been able to save a Quicktime file to my drive - am I missing something or did you think it was a WMV file?

Re: WOW Look at this kids work!

Not every QT file you run across can be saved. It depends on how they make the access. In the event it can be saved, just RIGHTCLICK and SAVE AS...

You'll notice (Universal Pictures is notorious for this) most Official Movie Sites will not allow you to do this.

Re: WOW Look at this kids work!

Right clicking only gives me the option of "save target" which just saves me a link to the file, not the file...

Re: WOW Look at this kids work!

Yes, but can this file be saved? Has anyone here running Win XP saved this file, and if so, how?

Re: WOW Look at this kids work!

I saved the QT on my Mac. I just viewed the HTML source and hit the movie directly. Very nice work.

Re: WOW Look at this kids work!

i just click the little arrow to the right of the control bar on a QT movie, and select "Save as quicktime"...

Re: WOW Look at this kids work!

Actually, you can save most QT movies when you view them. The Save AS function is a registered users only perk, is it not?

Regardless, if you are running windows, just look in your Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files folder and sort by size.

There you will find what you just viewed, including most movie trailers.

Re: WOW Look at this kids work!

Congratulations, Matt! You are a talented filmmaker with a great future. I read through this whole thread, including going to EVERY link - it took nearly two hours and I even know how to read!

The most important thing for me, is that I now know some of what the DVX is capable of and have something of a glimmer of what I might be capable of too.

It's been more than 1 month since the initial post... and I still can't view Matt's stuff.   :-/

Is this the new link?

I believe it has been up for the past couple of days on the link above. You do have to have quicktime install to view the video online.

Re: WOW Look at this kids work!

I understand Panasonic is putting together some DEMO reel of DVX footage? Perhaps Jan Crittenden should take a look at Matts work. They'd be fools to not put it on display.

Have Panasonic contact Alanis record comapny for use of the song? It's doable (not like Alanis' career needs some attention anyway)

Re: WOW Look at this kids work!

Damn Jubal. You can't be changing your name without announcing it! I'm like "Who the hell is this dude?" and then I see The artist formally known as the Jubalness....

Re: WOW Look at this kids work!

;D

I figured after +/- 900 posts, if you haven't chased me away yet, anonymity is no longer necessary . . . !

Seriously, I've had contact with a number of regulars under my real name, and it got confusing (see Rush's post in another thread), so I figured it was time . . .

Any more big changes, I'll be sure to announce in advance!   ;)
