The best I've seen from just about most cameras so far...WOW.
The 96 fps is actually not that bad looking when used right.
Music choice was great as well.
Just a downright cool video.

what do you mean by used right? or does it have technical issues?
I know, it should either look good and do what it suppose to, or why bother even putting it in. People are complaining about the quality. Not sure if its bit rate is to slow?

I think because 96fps will use the traditional pixel binning process for HD that some will notice it doesn't look as good as shooting 4k. If they edit in 4k it will be 1/4 resolution. If they edit in HD it may tend to have more alias and moire artifacts due to the pixel binning. Kind of a nit picking thing for sure.

Bitrate should be fine since it is using the bitrate of the recorded frame rate not the fact that 96 frames were shot per second. You are still encoding a 24p video.

It's all about the shooter. The GH4 is a very capable camera with a lot to offer. This is a fine example of a great camera in great hands. Having the ability to shoot 96fps is really nice. If you shoot a compelling subject no one cares about the resolution/sharpness in the end. I like that the GH4 is a loaded camera.

I thought the image of the doves flying was amazing, But he stated that close -ups to mediums should be fine. I'm anxious to give it a whirl when it arrives, but I'm a bit bummed about the dynamic range findings and the noise people are complaining about. we'll see, I love the g6 so the gh4 should be killer.

I like the fact that the shooter dialed back the sharpness. Now it looks more organic than I've seen from most other GH4 shots. I don't agree with the DR some folks tested. I don't think they took into account the over white issue others have found. From another reviewer on Vimeo who also shoots with the Red MX he stated that the DR is the same and that if you shoot with an MX you can expect a similar DR (don't argue with me...those are not my words). I've been waiting for Sony to price their A7 camera but videos like this (or at least this video) has caught my attention. I really like the colors from this camera. I almost pulled the trigger on a BMPC 4K a couple days ago but I'm rethinking that. I'm sure it would be nice when RAW arrives but...this seems solid.

I like this one too.

These are the tests I want to see. Not fruit in front of a color chart or a girl in front of a bright shop window without proper lighting. All the crap about DR means nothing if the shooter knows what he/she is doing and works with the camera the right way.

Why? Why?Why wouldn't it work right?

I'm more confused than ever about the GH4.

Why? Why? Why be confused about the GH4? It is a pretty straight forward proposition. Great camera that shoots 4K for $1700.00. The videos so far show exactly what the difference in the camera is: the shooter.

Try his settings from a previous video. I'm finding them to work well with my sharp Lumix lens and no sharpening in Post.
Hope BruceAllen gets to take them for a spin too.

John, why are you always belittling people? To answer your rhetorical questions...

1/ 96fps outputs closer to 720 than 1080, and therefore is best used for medium-closeup shots.

2/ Shooters who have tested the camera have found issues with various settings in various situations. It's people like these who allow people like you to get the best out of your camera.

What I don't get is why you feel the need to **** on people so relentlessly? Even if you had any talent (I checked your Vimeo page) this would be poor form.

Wow, just wow...

Just goes to show, its the talent behind the camera, than the camera really. Beautifully crafted video. I need to go back and study more....

....plus spend 15k on a MoVI 10! LOL

Looks great...talent can make just about any camera shine especially one with the capabilities of the GH4.

Couldn't agree more. Now we're starting to see some actual talent take the camera for a spin it puts it in an entirely different light.
