Would this setup be enough to edit p2 footage?

I am on a budget and I've decided to buy a new Imac 2.4ghz core2duo with 2go of ram. Would this be enough to edit 1080/24p footage from the hvx-200? I just need it to do the job, not to be extremely fast.

i do basic edits and p2 injest on an old powerbook 1.0 ghz and it works GREAT! so a cutting edge imac should be great

for your situation, id suggest getting an external fw800 drive - but yeah, as long as youre not doing serious heavy-duty graphic compositing/encoding/export it will do quite fine.
