Would There Be An Interest in Seattle/Portland Boot Camp?

Okay, here's your choices -- answer quick because I have to lock the dates in before I go on my next big trip.

Saturday, Nov. 11th, or Saturday, Nov. 18th. I'd much prefer the 18th, I think we need that extra week for signups. Any objection to the 18th? You've all said you'll sign up, so I'm going to try to make it happen...

November 18th! :) - Portland, pretty please with sugar on top!

Saturday the 11th in Seattle!!

You can count 3 of us in!

And please disregard the hippies in Portland, they can drive their VW buses up here.

I'm all over the 18th in Portland. A few positive points to remember about Portland and Oregon...
1. We're not Seattle!!! I could stop there having proved my point but I'll go on.
2. No sales tax in Oregon!!!
3. You don't have to pump your own gas and yet still pay the same price..
4. Seattle has designer coffee... Portland has designer BEER!!! Coffee or beer? BEER!
5. Portland has the Columbia River and Seattle has.... Tacoma!!!
6. Seattle has about 384 inches of rain per year and Portland has only 383 inches per year.
7. You know the song, "All My Ex's Live in Texas"? Well all of mine live in Seattle!!! (granted that's a personal issue)

So we'll see all of you on the 18th in Sunny Portland?

Peace bryan

I did tours in Australia a couple of months ago. Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane.

Portland sounds promising; I know I can get a facility in Portland. Question is, will all those who promised to attend Seattle instead attend Portland?

Barry:

I know of other places that could host in Seattle.

I had sent you contacts for two companies that arranged the Panasonic/Apple event in March.

They have places as well that could easily host.

Do you want the names again?

I'm interested. This may have been covered already- I'm wondering what the boot camp covers. I got Barry's book and it's good to have and I've leanred from it. I thought it might have more tips or advanced settings.......so the boot camp would be young Jedi material or are we talking some next level Yoda ****?

$289 for Yoda crap I'd drive to Seattle. I might even organize a van from PDX so some of us could car pool.

Portland is the native home of STUMPTOWN COFFEE! That would be enough to make anyone who visits, a pernament resident! It did it to me!

To hell with coffee, I'd go to Portland for the Terminator Stout beer at McMenamins!

Terminator Stout
Black as the darkest night, rich as the most decadent dessert, Terminator is for the true stout lover. This is a full bodied and flavor packed ale which draws it's robust complexity from kiln-baked specialty grains. Look for a wide array of toasted, chocolate, nutty and coffee-like flavors in every pint! The devoted swear by it, and it remains one of our top selling ales year after year.
Malts: Pale Malt; Munich Malt; 40L Crystal; Black Barley
Hops: Cascades
Specifications: Original Gravity: 1.065; Terminal Gravity: 1.015; Alcohol by Weight: 5.1%
Calories/pint: 282

barry - the other big draw for portland is that while there have been events in seattle like the above mentioned and the koerner camera HVX seminar, there's hasn't been anything in portland yet... this might have something to do with the number of people in this forum from portland who are so interested... and one would think the number of others who would join once word hit the streets. my guess is it's an easy sell-out.

So this idea's dead on the vine? Come on... Yeah, we're less than a week away but come on! Eight pages of excitement and anticipation. Portland... Portland... Portland...!!! So what that we're having lots of flooding this week. Next week looks fine with only minor flooding. Don't let the hvx bootcamp Portland edition die.

Peace,
Bryan
