Would someone explain why this #%@* is supposed to be "good"......

Yeah, that's just a slightly more sophisticated version of those things you stick your head in at the amusement park.

Do you ever get the feeling that Uncle Walt is doing somersaults in his grave, or rather, his cryogenic storage vessel!

At first I was like, "what's the big deal?", but they just got worse and worse. That Whoopie Goldberg one produced shudders. I'd pay to see Rachel Weisz as Snow White, though. But I'd pay to see Rachel Weisz do just about anything.

I'm sorry, but this is bullcrap.

Mark Chapman shot John Lennon.

Well, I could see how some people could maybe like these. I mean, it's kinda neat how they

HOLY $#!+ a flipping flying Whoopi Goldberg!?

What the poop is wrong with this lady!

I like Olivia Wilde as the evil queen, Rachel Weiz as Snow White, and Jeff Bridges as the "Beast" (in princely form)...though not so sure of Penolope Cruz in that same pic.

How it's good in terms of idea or execution? Obviously the idea is clever: portray well known Disney characters with well known actors. It lends a certain magical realism to the Disney universe. The execution, on the other hand, wasn't perfect. As the article noted, some of the shots were downright "schmaltzy."

I thought the Snow White scene was well done, but the two Aladdin scenes didn't quite make it. Does anyone else think the J-Lo / Marc Anthony shot looked like a cheap portrait with a cardboard backdrop? Then again, I'm not sure what scene or framing they could have used to sell it better.

Leibovits was said to earn a day rate of $250,000 just to set foot in a studio for an advertising job, without shooting one single picture.

And this is what you get for all that $$$$$$?

Do those pictures actually make you want to go to Disney-Land-World-Shack?
They are supposed to......

Yeah, but Annie just lost most of her property and portfolio to debt, so... maybe this is part of a strategic financial comeback? Maybe???

I can't analyze Leibovitz' value or contribution to this project since I wasn't a part of it. Are you suggesting that Annie didn't earn her pay for this campaign? I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case. Is it possible that fellow DVXusers could have executed this project in an arguably better manner? Absolutely.

However, Leibovitz has been doing this for Disney since 2007. I highly doubt that Disney would continue contracting her services if this campaign weren't helping the Mouse's bottom line.
