Worst Film I've ever seen in my life. Shot on RED.

Remember, there is no movie that can't be made better with the inclusion of a car chase, another explosion and a cheerleader shower scene!

Yeah, but if the cheerleader shower scene is anything like the co-ed nude shower scene in 'Starship Troopers"(1997) (if we are going to talk about quality schlock...), the cast required that Verhoeven be nude as well during the shooting of the scene... perhaps if one is a 'hunk' that would be ok... but aging does something to 'hunkness' if one ever had it at all...

SHHH!...This topic is off limits, as it has taken Sad Max decades to suppress the trauma.

Isn't that basically SUCKER PUNCH boiled down to its essence? Sure it doesn't have a car chase, but it has a dragon chasing hot chicks in a WWII era bomber.

Sad Max worked on Starship Troopers?

I love that crazy movie.

thank you, this just made my year. I thought this kind of movie died in the late 90's with VHS and easier 3d programs, but it's still alive and well on youtube. Seriously I had an appetite for the worst of movies and the worst of them now just aren't all around bad enough to be funny, they're just depressing now. This is classic.

Two classic scenes from the film. Enjoy...

Orange Juice scene:

Jurassic Park scene:

Well I like it! If you were to join the thousands of amateur filmaking clubs that exist everywhere you'd see products like this all the time. I went to one near where I live to judge their version of the Oscars, and the best were like this. They make movies with the club members as actors. None are actors, and of course it shows. Neither are they technically trained, so their technical ability is flawed too. This is a classic example of where having a recipe doesn't make something that tastes nice. They have the ingredients, but they mishandle almost every one of them. They have good cameras, but don't know about framing and composition. They know little about sound, they understand the need for underscoring, but try to blend the right kind of music in the wrong way - they use music with stock time, so have to fade it inappropriately. Their green screening is accurate, but just doesn't blend - little things like the lighting not matching.

If I were still teaching, I'd use this of the example of how it can go wrong - because the errors are so basic the students would see them. With teaching, subtlety never works - students don't see or hear tiny detail. This would work a treat. They've copied all the techniques from elsewhere. The panoramic bike ride at the start, the clock, you can see so many blockbuster shots, but few really work.

I would suggest it would have won the competition.

Rumor has it they got their RED upgraded at NAB and are working hard on a sequel....

(Rumor also has it that this is how rumors sometimes get started.)

This appalling piece of media could've been shot with anything.....Alexa, F65, 535 & it would've changed the outcome an iota.

WTF the orange juice scene, was that a corporate branding opportunity for O.J. ? Have they ever heard of cutaway ?

Why do some when shooting against green screen walk always parallel to the screen & in this case entry always from the left & exit from the right ? Why cant they mix it up a bit & enter or exit towards the camera ?

Of course the CGI is the shinning light of the entire production, that dino just leaves me breathless with its accurate modelling of a Logasaurus.

The image quality is not really a problem. If this went to a good colour grading facility it could look good. The problem is not even the story which is interesting. The problem is the disastrous casting, the disastrous acting, the disastrous dialog, and the disastrous pacing. This filmaker does not know what dialog is, what acting is, and what editing is.

This movie is a five star production. Let me elaborate...It really is an perfect example of what not to do. We can learn from Great productions and not so great ones, right? Someone else touched on this, it may have been a "first" for the crew. Not everyone can be a rock star or Speilberg first few times out. I give them kudos for doing it. I am book marking it to remind myself and crew as to how we can learn from all productions good or not so good. I made it 6 minutes up to the scene where he came in the back yard and 30 sec later unlocked the door. Good luck on the next one and keep making them who ever you are. Think positive!!

Having left film school a couple years ago, this is the caliber of video I am seeing from my former classmates. There's no artistry, no talent, no skill, no nothing.
