Another thing, this sort of film is the reason you should go to film school.
If you're young, and you have that fear a lot of young inexperienced people have that film school will kill your creativity by brain washing you into conformity - take a good long look at this film. This is why you should go to film school.
The conformity you fear is called craft and technique. It's image composition and story telling structure and if you don't know that stuff the result of your efforts won't be what you want them to be. If you purposely avoid them because you want to go against the current (together with thousands of other people who also purposely go against the current and avoid basic image composition and story structure knowledge) you will end up with something possibly not unlike this.
That's what this is. Forget calling it "bad" just because you don't like it. See it for what it is, it's poor craft.
excellent point.
In my opinion, you must master your craft before you transcend into groundbreaking or non-traditional methods. Look at Picasso. Before he did his cubism/abstractions, he was trained to be, and was, one of the best illustrators/painters, in a traditional sense, of the time. He could paint as well or better than many of the best painters of the time. It was only after his mastery he transcended to abstraction. I think that is true for most artistic endeavors. You must first understand the rules before you can successfully break them.
Zsigmond's. He's got nothing to be embarrassed by there. It's a silly movie, but the cinematography is on par with the times, maybe a little ahead of it.
Joseph V. Mascelli
he did something.... maybe a Cinemtographers manual or editor of AC... Something... so familiar.
EDIT: Five C's of Cinematography! I knew it was a book I've read.
It's very bad, and not in the so bad it's entertaining way that Birdemic is. I did like the dinosaurs at about 40:00.
Personally I liked the bellydancer sequence...
What was that directors name again that did the 60's low budget big-boobs B movies? I know you know who I mean.
//edit: I'll know it when I hear it. He was pretty famous for those.
In the meantime, here's some classics that might jar someones memory. lol.

edit:// Ohhhh, Russ Meyer. It was right there in my post. (Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! (1965)) Darn.
35 takes and not in a single one did they bother to fix the god-awful headroom.
Russ Meyers is Da Man!!! I have a copy of "Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!", it is pretty wild.
I just got this email today and it looks like something I'd do for the fun of it. I'd have to make sure it's actually a syfy movie but the guy seems to know what he's talking about:
Hello-
My name is Steven Sandt. I am an independent motion picture producer. To verify this you can log onto IMDB.com and type in my name (Steven A. Sandt) and it will bring up the name of a picture I did in the year 2000. You can also go online and type the following web address: atprodco.com . I'm now working on a sci fi picture in which there is a cafe/bar scene which features a belly dancer. My wife (of 38 years) and I live in Covina. I saw your bio listed on PinkGypsy.com . Your physical appearance is suitable for the dancer I'm looking for. I'm looking for a dancer who can dance in an Egyptian or Turkish style of belly dance. The shoot would not take more than 2 hours. It would be shot in front of a green screen (for digital compositing). The picture is non-union and does not have a large budget. I would like to know what you would charge for two hours of your time (in Covina). If we can arrive at an agreeable amount I will also include you in the profit sharing for the picture with one point (1%) of the profits for your work. You would have to sign the usual contract which allows me to use the footage in my picture and also sign the profit participation contract. If you are interested, please reply to this email (actually please let me know either way so I will know you got this email).
Thanks,
Steven Sandt
I live in Covina, so it's not big travel for me, my question is how much do I charge for 2 hours?
Any help or advice ( I love bhuz) would be greatly appreciated.
I've seen this movie only because it had a Triumph TR3, which I'm a big fan of. Came across it and just started to watch it. Pretty funny movie. I like to pretend that is how life really was in the 1960's. Hahah, I actually have a TR4. Completely different looking car but made right after these beautiful cars.
The Tr3 gets the least amount of screen time! It's the one with the cut-out doors.
I'm a big Russ Meyer fan. Loved Faster Pussycat. Some of the others are fun to watch but not as good. Beyond the Valley of the Dolls is freakadelic. What happened to film makers? We don't get many gems like these now. I also tell every film maker to see Pink Flamingos at least once. Gotta love John Waters.
Where are the filmmakers with the balls to point a camera out our society and say something about it? Why is it that so many low budget filmmakers now a days only want to make movies about zombies, hit men and time machines?
