Done: circa 7 min.s and a half to 1080 file, 6 min.s and a half to 720, at same time @123 KB/s, not bad, really good, indeed.

Jarred,

Are you guys staying there till the last day? Man the views just shot up from 5 thousand to 8k in 1sec!

time for me to take a break from this thread. i've been following it all day, seriously. take it easy guys...i'll have to catch up on stuff later.

outdoor footage

outdoor footage

This stuff looks great, but I'd love to see how this camera performs under more natural conditions, especially outdoors. That'll be the true test for me.

In case anyone is having problems viewing the mov files while we wait for the WMV-HD versions:

Using Quicktime Pro, you can re-encode the .mov files to 59.94fps .avi files and they should run smooth as butta now even if they're now 200MB each

such a memoriable day that I had to update my avatar...yup that's me! Any news yet on the CCD's?

Nice update on your Avatar... looks cool

The actual specs of the CCD's really isn't that important. The important aspect of the CCD/Imaging section is that regardless of the actual pixel resolution of the CCD's themselves the data coming from the CCD/Imaging section of the camera is a native 1080/60P. From there it gets dropped down to the other formats. If the CCD's were 1 Big-ass Pixel by 1 Big-ass Pixel, would it even matter as long as the output is true 1080/60p? ;)

***Edit - Fixed my crap grammar***

We're not done yet!

I was hoping they would have a reasonable one 8GB P2 package.

I might have to go two 4GB until the P2 gets more reasonable.

2.7K for one 8GB is WAY to much.

I realize it's new technology, but...... Man, it's only 8GB.

Looks nice in 720p, but I'm guessing the 1080p24 didn't have it's pulldown removed before encoding at 720p, hence it's artifacting.... I'd love it if you can post a couple of small DVCproHD codec clips for us FCPers to try out.

And it's hard to keep up with the forum - people are posting faster than you can read! Wow!

yep !!!!!

At first look, the color and overall quality seems fine, even after compression.
I can't wait to see some DVCProHD footage uncompressed by H264.
