Folks, WAIT until the file is up until downloading. Just hit refresh and notice when the file size stops growing. Then download away.

Yes, the 1080 is encoded incorrectly... seems partial rez, like half scale or something. Colors and dynamics look really good though...

Got it. This is some purrdy stuff. A little bit of jittering on my 2.5 GHz P4 but still looks amazing. Incredible price/performance ratio.

Yup. Just wait until you play with real DVCPRO-HD files.
You'll be amazed and forget all about HDV....we're all
impressed with heavily encoded footage LOL.

That is niiiiiiiiiiiiiccccccccccccceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Wow. No chrome abby either. Even the Red light is pure and not pixelated.

And Panasonic goes yard

donno what to expect - but 1080 doesnt look too impressive...

the first shot of the african-american guy is faded and dull...
most edges has steps (like hair of the ladies aliased against the white door, the guy's shirt etc)

Is it me or is there some of that DVX blue fringe on the left hand side of the guy, on the 720 clip? Actually... it's on whichever side has a difference in contrast.

it's because whoever was dp diffused the light with a crap load of smoke. just look at it, you can't miss it, lol.

Don't forget that H264 encoding tends to wash out colors and flatten the blacks. I bet the native footage is even better looking than what we're looking at. Just try to reserve the big judgments for native res footage. This looks much better than I thought it would.

It's showing up at 1280x720, so it isn't 1080. Weird.

I'll reserve judgment on the 1080P until we get a clean encode. That one obviously has some issues. Just look at the straw! The 720 is beautiful though.
