working with MXF after DV

Hi Guys,

I'm just starting to shoot some work for TV commercials onto my P2 card. When i capture my DV footage it ends up as one AVI and i trim out any clips i want and drop them on the timeline ETC. With the P2 when i drag it onto my PC from the card you have a heap of folders and all your footage is in clips. Just wondered what is best way to keep this data for clients.

Do i keep the tree of folders in the same manner the come off the card and put them into a client folder?

Also is there a way to merge all the clips off the P2 card without rendering them out of your editor?

I guess i just want to know how you guys manage your new workflow!

Don't extract anything, don't delete anything. Copy the entire card contents with all the folders and files, and let your NLE sort it out, that's what it is there for.
