Work Flow for working with squeeze footage in FCP

Hi all,

I just shot a dance performance with my dvx100a and decided to use squeeze mode for the first time. Is there any special work flow that works best for handling the footage as far as capture and sequence settings?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Salvo,
Don't know what NLE you're using, but with Sony Vegas, I just capture from my deck with firewire. I then create an NTSC DV widescreen project, bring in the captured clips and edit normally. For an SD DVD, I render a widescreen MPEG2 video stream and separate AC3 audio file. DVD Architect prepares the DVD file and can burn it to disc. Or: you can burn the DVD with another program using the prepared DVD files.
I recently shot a promo in squeeze mode for a friend's book selling on Amazon. The SD DVD played back on a HD TV looks really nice, even though her older Sony DVD player doesn't upscale to HD.
Just make sure the PAR (pixel aspect ratio) is set properly in the project properties and in your video files...they should match.
Hope this helps.

Oops...sorry, I totally missed that in the thread title.
I think in any NLE, matching the project properties to the file (event, clip, etc.) properties is a good start. I shoot mainly progressive, so I set my project to that and make sure that the PAR (pixel aspect ratio) is 1:2121 (DV Widescreen). I make sure it's the same in the clip properties as well.
Hope this helps.
