Woot - Steadicam special with Garret on SCI CHANNEL RIGHT NOW

Dang it, missed it!

Is this online anywhere? Or at least what was the title of the show / series / episode?

EDIT: The show is "Science of the Movies" and the episode is: "Zombies! Science of the Undead"

EDIT 2: Oop, it's repeating multiple time today.
EDIT 2.5: We've got a million channels at work, we are a TV station; we have Cable, DirecTV, DishNet, a farm of satellite dishes; but can we get the Science Channel? oooh nooo... :badputer:

lol... yeah it was the beginning portion of the Science of the Movies with Garrett Brown. Should have mentioned that :P

He also has some stuff on the steadicam on bhphotovideo.com 's video section, if you haven't seen it.

When it comes to steadicam and blockbuster movies, its usually him operating.

Ok, it's on one more time (in 11.5 hours time. Can anyone capture it for me (or dig it out of your DVR) and shoot me the file?

Garrett was the pioneer of Steadicam, and of course has an impressive list of credits. He has however retired from active operating a few years ago.

There are many many active Steadicam operators, some big names, some not so big.

I meant older ones... Rocky, The Shinning...

Mikko I see you own the real thing... have you used anything besides the steadicam to be able to compare them?

In addition to my own 2 Steadicam systems, and having flown pretty almost every model of Steadicam (including all current models). I've flown rigs from every manufacturer that I've been able to find at most recent NAB or IBC trade-shows, and of course rigs I've come across in other situations.

the difference is what I am after... it worth all the extra $$$$?? :) for a light weight system at least... there are many options out there now a days.

Yes it's worth the price difference if you can afford it.
And especially when is comes to the lighter weight systems! - Lighter cameras are inherently less stable, and the stabilizers need to be more precise (= higher quality) to work well.
