Hey all,

After the recent drop to 1,189.95, I had to jump on this camera. I searched around everywhere and they were going well over $1000 used! So figured for a little more I get a new one. Should have it next week just in time for a shoot!

Look forward to contributing to the GH1 community..... and to match this up with the hmc150 and see how it holds up.

btw I have my T1i for sale in the marketplace if anyone is looking for one:

mines being shipped right now as well! I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for it! we'll have to have a friendly video competition when we get them! haha

Yeah yesterday, buy 1 get 1 free!....

lol no, but woot was my expression - not the actual website...

BTW the snow better not slow down the shipping, only working with a 3 day window for delays!

did you get any additional lenses for it? I think I'm gonna do a set of rokkor primes as I can afford to add to them. First issue is definitely an audio solution though!

I have a small collection of canon lenses so I will get a mount asap... honestly I cant wait to just use the stock lens most of the time... will work perfect for what I shoot. I may throw a prime on there from time to time... I almost ordered the body only, but I know that 14-140mm lens is worth the extra $$$.

yea, I'm really excited to use the lens as well, but I love the quality you get from a well exposed prime shot. I really want to figure out a fisheye solution though. I have a century .3 on a pani SD100, but i don't want to use that every time I want some distortion! wouldn't mind cutting to a century on a HMC150 for my wides though! haha look forward to seeing what you do with the camera!

This is a B or C cam for me, so all audio will be through the 150... I do have a H4 that is backup, or to record from the board without running wires.

I did the trial of plural-eyes to sync up, wasn't very happy at all... It couldn't match live audio with audio from the board... seems like others have a lot more success though.

Oh man, what a combination you will have with HMC150 and GH1. Someday HMC40 price will go down to around $1000.. yeah.. I wish..

I considered the 40... but getting the GH1 replaces my t1i, which I really couldn't use for 'pro' video. I need more of a 'video' camera, which from what I read/seen the GH1 is going to be great for what I shoot.

Cant put up with canons 12min record times...

Haha the GH1 is back up to $1299 on amazon, great timing...
