So after my quest for a reasonable var ND my second quest is a fairly good monopod. I'm quite tall, 6 feet 6 (2 meters) and the available height in many monopods are too low for me to work with (Benro, for tiny asians) with the exception of the manfrotto MVM500a which extends to exactly my height, but the reviews on the quirky fluidball base aren't really positive, next to the relatively high price and the fact you can't pan with the head itself.
Looking for alternatives I came across a wondlan monopod model HT101 with a maximal height of almost 6 feet (180 cm) a mini tripod base just like benro and manfrotto and a fluidhead. For my height I will be close to perfect but I have no clue if it is just chinese crap or reasonable quality, just like my research on the var Nd's there's actually no review on it anywhere on the net. Any word on wondlan?
