Wish: GHX-100

Given that most of the part left on there is still lens I suppose I should probably make a better image that's more accurate rather than just showing "this is what we want." You know, for fun. It'll be difficult probably though...and anything difficult isn't worth doing to begin with.

Awww shucks, didn't mean to rub salt in a open wound, truly sorry for that. I'm just confused by all people seemingly desperate for a NTSC GH1 but nobody picks up on that offer

It's OK, pain makes you stronger..:crybaby:

GH1 is indeed a stealth cam in that people don't realise you are filming. Yet.
There's a downside - at a family event at which I whipped out my GH1 a few times to document the relatives in a feeding frenzy, whenever they saw the camera pointing at them they stopped what they were doing and posed for the still picture they thought I was trying to take. All the audio is full of me saying sotto voce, "it's video, please don't pose!"

Had a lot of me waving people through shots...not nearly as many will stop to avoid walking in front of a video camera as a still camera...most people don't care about ending up on video but they nicely care about not ruining your photos.

LOL. That would be a funny video in itself.

I like most of it except the P2 storage. P2 is a stupid *#$^ing format that should die - as evidenced by the fact that it remains staggeringly expensive compared to other formats. CF cards are competitive in speed (in fact a 600x CF outpaces a P2, @ 720 vs 640 mb/s), or better yet a gigabit ethernet or eSATA.

Storage media price/performance is improving faster than camera hardware or even sensor technology, and reliability and portability are becoming the norm, so it makes sense to modularize it instead of locking it into the body of the camera where it will become a drag as the product ages. RED have yet to deliver with their fully modular vision, but the basic concept is fine - the computer you are using to read this being a prime example, unless you are using an iPhone.

Well it does AVCHD on SDHC too ;)

I didn't want to go too far out on a limb with telling panasonic to shove p2...they like it, it works well, and if they keep bundling 16gb cards with cameras I can't complain too hard.
