It looks great. A little gaffer's tape never hurt anybody, it's used all the time to hold things together at professional shoots, all throughout time began.

Here's what mine looks like:

Aside from the tape, 30 feet? Really? That's it? That's almost useless. Why would I buy something that's almost useless?

30 feet is about 9 or 10 steps. I don't think I've ever been as close as 10 steps to a rolling camera when I've been on location.

And your experience speaks for us all... Right.

If it isn't your cup of tea move on.

I think the idea is fantastic. Althoughh at $200 something is a very weak link in that chain, aside from a spot of gaff holding it together.

It looks like a good solution and a great deal, and yes 10-20 feet distance is plenty to let the director or client see what's going down. The biggest concern would be destroying the output jack on the camera, so more gaffers tape or a velcro loop needed there for stress relief.

How is 30ft useless?

I can think of how wireless at even 10ft would be useful.

Wireless at 5 feet would be useful ! 30 ft is an amazing distance. I can have a camera man shooting and I can now be in the shade looking at the footage. I shoot Music Videos so this distance is more than enough.

I'm really interested in this product.

Hey Chris, mind explaining this setup?

It's basically a project box that houses an NP1 battery box and video receiver with handles on it and a 7" LCD monitor mounted to it. The other smaller unit is the transmitter and it can run on 9-12 volts dc.

Range is probably 30-50 feet through and around walls and about a hundred feet with no obstructions.

I guess I mean, would you mind sharing what components you used. I feel like the big question with this is the wireless transmitter. From searching the internet the only ones that appear to be decently affordable are SD res.

Wierd. This is great for under $200...you guys amaze me.
Bought one.
waaaaahhhh...it's only 30 feet
