Wireless Broadcast

Hello everyone, I am brand new here, but I think I have a pretty basic first question. Does anyone know how to wirelessly broadcast video onto screens or tvs. What I am trying to achieve is; walk around a bar interview people, and have it appear on the screen while I interview them. Any advice on what hardware or setup would be awesome. Thanks for your help.

Many years ago you could buy a small tv transmitter at R Shack that you plugged into your S-Video out which would send out a signal that could be picked up by a matching receiver and convert the signal to be seen on channel 3 or 4. The range of the unit was about 500 feet.

There are many wireless video/audio transmitters on the market.
The sad truth is: The cheap ones suck, the good ones are expensive.

If you have the budget, look into renting somethign like D-cam (www.dcam.tv) rents around $500/day. You can get a cheap home "A/V sender" kit from most AV stores for under a hundred bucks, but be prepared for a jittery signal with a good dose of interfearance - especially as you move around. And doublely bad interfearance if there is WiFi in use in the area.

If you can, I'd recomend considering the option of workign cabled. Though in your application, you are going to decide on a point on the cost-quality line.

What sort of buget are you on, and how far are you planning on actually moving?
