Will we ever see a fast stabilized Micro4/3 zoom lens?

Hi,

In my opinion the m43 format needs a lens like this to be able to compete with the dslrs from canon, nikon ect. Every dslr format has at least one stabilized f2.8 normal zoom and I would really like to see a lens like this for m43.
I'm even considering buying the fourthirds Oly 14-35 f2.0 and an adapter but I hate the idea of buying an expensive lens for a dying format...

So, does anyone know if Olympus or Panasonic have plans for a lens like this in the near future? Is it something we will ever see? The zooms available today are just too slow for video indoors and I need the flexibility of a zoom for ENG work...

Thanks!

Anders

Hey anders,I was wondering, What makes you say m43 is a dying format? K
I *think* he was saying the 4/3 format is dying, not the micro 4/3 format. In otherwords, the 4/3 format is headed for a mirrorless only future.....

43rumors seems to have the best source for lens rumors. I feel you though, I was hoping the Oly 45mm would be stabilized, but then remembered that stabilization is in body for Olympus.

Well this year supose to come a fast zoom for Micro four thirds if i remenber correctly; is something as 14-50mm similar as the Panasonic four thirds 14-50mm hope for constant at f2.8, but has been hear this since last year, the last buzz was a last date for announcement this August.

I'm also hoping that the other companies who are getting onboard will start turning out some good stuff. Would love to see Sigma and Tamron lenses.
