Will that work for the HV20 or is it only for the Canon XL-H1 camera ?

Doesn't work for the HV20. HV20 uses a 3:2 pulldown while 24F outputs as native 24fps.

ok, but i will be using 25p as i will be getting the PAL version of the hv20, so i dont have to worrie about 3:2 pulldown, so you guys think it will work for me ?

You could use any editor that provides HDV at 1080i50 then. Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 included. And don't worry about interlacing. But if you really don't like it, just use a weaving deinterlacing method. Which will put the two fields together and you'll have 25p. I hope.

Yep. Since you're going to use Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0. You could do that too. It'd work better than my way!

Can anyone share the best 24p workflow using After Effects? I know there's some way to remove the pulldown using AE, but I'm not sure EXACTLY what steps need to be taken.

It's kind of a shame to have a 24p camera, yet to be unable to edit/render in 24p.
