Will this camera mount work with the HVX200a?

[brandondull]

I was looking into this camera mount. "Macaw Video Perch Camera Mount" Does anyone know if the HVX200a can be used on this... BHphotovideo.com does not list the weight capacity.

Here is the URL of the product: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/669499-REG/Makaw_MKVP06.html#reviews

It will fit on yes but I really don't think it could hold the weight of the HVX........ Look at the clamp it's all plastic.

What are you mounting it too?

Yeah that's what I thought. Just double checking. I wanted to mainly use it for a car mount.

AB-SO-LUTE-LY NOT! look at that mounting plate. that thing is made for a little handycam.

the weight of the hvx and vibration from the car would snap it like a twig.

the website below is your friend. use it:

Not a good idea.

Plastic and flimsy looking.

You usually get what you pay for on these things, and putting a $4k cam on a $70.00 car mount is axiomatic nonsensical.
