will hoodman hoodloupe work with the T2i's LCD?

On the EX1 there is an extra extender that allows it to be used on the different lcd size/configuration. So if the one for the 7D doesn't fit you have other options and it won't be a waste of money. There aren't an exact fit anyway. The rubber body of the loupe has to be a bit bigger than the screen.

Best bet is to speak to the company directly. They are probably interested in knowing also.

I would suggest just getting th Z/finder because it works, guaranteed.

i would if it wasn't FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS. i mean my camera body was only $900 haha, i'm not gonna spend four hundred on a viewfinder, IF i get one at all, it will be the hoodman one, which is STILL a bit pricey for what it is if you ask me.

I sort of thought the same way...but I just got a hoodman loupe for the 7D...and the damn screen is always blurry unless I hold my head away from the eye-hole (no diopter) and it's not magnified anyways, so I feel a little silly...

Next one up is the 'LCDVF', save a bit more and buy that one if you have good eyesight as it has no diopter. I own it and love it.

I have the LCDVF and, apart for the nonsense of paying $160 for the viewfinder (a piece of plastic with a cheap piece of glass on it) when Canon gives you a HD CAMERA for $800, it works fine even for me with a 2.5 myopia because your eye has to focus the LCD, which is very close, so I have to take my glasses off in any case if I want to see clearly. Of course if you don't see well from close then you have a problem.

Seems like it wouldn't be that hard to stick a piece of magnifying glass into the Hoodman. Has anyone tried this?

I have the hoodman loupe for the EX1 kit that includes the skirt and diopter adjustment. It works fine and focuses in nice and clear. Just a different attachment method.

Warning: Do NOT buy the LCDVF if you're eyesight is anything less than perfect. I don't wear glasses for anything but reading and the LCDVF was useless to me. Unlike the hoodman loupe which you CAN focus. Is it perfect? No. But for the money, it works. Otherwise, be prepared to spend big cash ($400!!) on the zfinder.

I read at dvinfo that hoodman was releasing anyday now a 3x loupe for the hoodloupe - might want to send them an email ?
