C300: Wide DR vs Wide DR

shooting on the Canon C300 MkI Got a question for those shooting Wide DR; I noticed that I can do two different settings in the camera (maybe more?) The first is C-1 and in Gamma set Wide DR and then there is C-8 which is Wide DR preset.

I did some testing and they both look good. Was wanting to know what others prefer shooting in and why? Thanks

It sounds like someone manually changed the settings for CP1 to have Wide DR gamma. That's fine. The settings are meant to be changed.

If you want to go back to the standard settings for CP1, just reset to neutral in the CP menu. In any picture preset, you can have Wide DR set in two places: gamma and color matrix.

You can also reset CP8 to Wide DR, so you're sure to be using stock Wide DR.

By the way, CP1 should have "Normal 1" as gamma and color matrix. It's a nice punchy rec709 color that looks nice out of the box, not overly crushed and saturated like "EOS standard." Normal 1 to 4 are good options when you don't have a lot of dynamic range in the shot and need to go live or hand it over immediately with no control over color grading.
