C100: Wide angle opinions

The f/3.5-4.5 variable on the Canon 10-22 is a deal breaker for me.

Tokina is 2.8 constant.

2.8 with a C100 is not critical, as i own a 2.8 and 1.4

I think the main change for the Canon lens is the coatings. It's a little more flare resistant. A lot of places like Amazon still sell MkI for less money and there's a bunch being thrown onto Craigslist. I got a MkI for pretty cheap and it works great.

The producer emphasizes the fact that the new Tokina 11-16 mm got new coatings in order to improve work against bright light among other things. Unfortunately those claims are nothing but fibs – we haven’t seen such a horrible performance against bright light for a long time
