Wide angle lens on the cheap?

Hey I was looking at a picking up a wide angle lens, but im unsure if the cost of a nice one, ie century optics or 16x9 is worth the amount I will use it. I found one on ebay, yes the dreaded ebay wide angle lens, but it is made by tokina which makes decent still camera lenses.

Anyone with exeperience using discount wide angle lenses?
worth spending 100 bucks on?

IMO i wouldn't spend 100$ on that. i wouldn't put anything than century in front of my dvx simply because i don't want my clip to look bad, blurry and all. but i also hate to pay for something that does half the job

the .6x wide angle is like 500$, not that bad actually.

Reasons not to get it:

- You will get horrible CA on areas with any contrast
- Your going to get barrel distortion out the ass
- It will most likely be very very unsharp in every place other than the very very center.
- Your footage is going to look like someone took a webcam and shat on the lens.

Alright no cheapo wide lens. Becaue no one wants a webcam that looks like it's been shat on hahaha.
