Give the camera internet connectivity with each camera having it's unique own mac address/ ID number. Clients/producers/investors/fan-sites could view the camera feed anywhere in the world. Camera feeds could be password protected. Red could update camera firmware remotely via the internet. If a camera crashes anywhere in the world, simiply have the camera find an open wi-fi network and a crash report will instantly be sent to Red headquarters. Red headquarters could observe how many cameras are online and could watch for any problems. Messages from the camera operator, who might have questions, could be sent to a live operator at RED headquarters. etc...

Of the many many suggestions in this forum, I think this one might have the strongest case.

A wireless connection to the camera (preferrably WiFi) opens up an endless number of possibilites.

Connecting and controling the camera remotely is a huge boost in productivity on set. A computer and mouse is a much better interface then could ever be given by a tiny onscreen menu.

I really hope the RED team recognizes the importance of communicating, controling, and viewing data wireless with this revolutionary camera.

Another benefit to this is that the cinematographer could just look at a monitor and check the status of several RED cameras on a shoot/set. Check their camera feed, apeture settings, histogram settings, what have you and make adjustments instantly.

Another variation of this is that various other RED cameras can use their wi-Fi link to "talk" to each other and transmit their settings and a thumbnail image from their camera to other cameras. This would make setting up multiple cameras a breeze.
