Being one of the few folks from South Africa ordering Red, its become a thing of debate amongst indie filmmakers here in sunny Cape Town why one would want to embark on a journey with a company without any proven track records in making anything relating to film nor video accessories, much less a revolutionary piece of gear.
My answer... why not?
See, I'm one of those that believe great ideas outlasts their thinkers, meaning, whether Jim and his gang decides to continue with the Red thing or not, merely dreaming of such a maverick tool has inspired millions of struggling filmmakers like me, to imagine the impossible.
