Why is the deadline several days sooner than last 3 October fest?

[Charli]

I went to look up the last three fests held in October and their due dates were:

October 26th
October 27th
October 30th

Why is this one so early? I know you'll say it's because it started early, but why did that happen?

To be finished 10 days before Halloween is a bit different, don't ya think?

[AJ Brooks]

Yeah, I wasn't paying attention, I thought I had more time!

[elsmama]

There is never enough time.

[Belgarath]

I have to agree. Rush, rush, rush!

[Michael Anthony Horrigan]

I've been working on another film for a local fest but as I started to write it I realized that it would also be perfect for this one.
I wonder if the other fest would let me enter it in this one since it would go live here first. Probably not.

MAH

It's shorter so that all these holloween themed shorts will be available for the holiday.....what, it's not a holloween theme? nevermind.

[Charli]

MAH - depends on the fest. Some don't care if you have multiple entries, others do. Uh, I want to see it either way.

They actually gave me the go ahead. Hmmmmm.....
