I am really having trouble with Avid MC 5 too having been using FCP for several years. I am a drag and drop mouse person NOT a keyboard person. Im frustrated beyond belief and feel as if I will never get anything done. I was very comfortable with FCP

If you're a 'mouse person' then AVID is not for you. Stick with FCP in that case. AVID isn't a better editor unless you do things "the AVID way"™ - which can seem very backwards coming from the FCP background.
