So the dvx100 always records in non-drop frame timecode when recording in 24p. Does this mean that you should edit in a ndf sequence in final cut? I fully understand the differences between drop frame and non drop frame timecode, even down to the history of the audio hum on black and white tv's, but I dont see why the dvx must record in ndf in 24p. Is there a reason? How should I handle this in final cut, with a drop frame time code or non drop frame time code? Drop frame would probably be easier because most other applications handle 24p in drop frame 23.976 fps but if this will cause a problem I would like to know what it is. Are there any setbacks to using a drop frame timecode with the ndf footage off the dvx?
