For the HVX, check out this footage

If you shoot events, documentary or anything that doesnt need the film 24p look, the $3649 Canon XH-A1 is certainly more suitable. It will give you a better Discovery HD video look.

For the demo Reel, here is the setting Robert used

- FILM CAM mode
- 200 deg shutter angle
- Detail +5
- V. Detail 0
- Detail Coring +4
- Chroma +7
- Temp 0
- Master Ped -8
- A. Iris Level 0
- News Gamma - OFF
- Gamma - HD NORM
- KNEE - MID
- Matrix - NORM
- Skin tone - OFF

So what happens when I wanna put High-def on tape? Which was my point, for those of you who missed it.

You get a sony or a canon or a JVC and put a highly compressed, soon to be obselete, form of mpeg2, high def video on tape.
