Do I have it on a wierd setting?? I can't figure out why my quick pans are "wavy" and skewed during quick pans. the only thing I've been able to find about this is this video on youtube.

About 8 seconds it, it demonstrates the picture during quick pans. Does anybody else have this problem? Does anybody know why this is happening and how i can prevent it?

Try shooting in 720p60 mode. The rolling shutter effects will be greatly reduced.

People need to stop thinking that rolling shutter is not an issue in the 24p mode on this camera. It's just as bad as the 7D and only slightly better than the 5D.

It's not much of a problem for me but maybe that's because I don't waggle my camera around while trying to frame a subject at the end of a 500mm lens...

Depending on your panning speed, it can be bad even at only 14mm:

At 500mm, I would imagine that a steady pan would be enough to skew the image badly. Let's not understate the issue here.

Right, let's use our imagination instead. :)

Nice whip pans as an example of 14mm pan problems. Am definitely going to think twice before attempting a pan like that. This is good to know. Thanks for the heads-up.

Actually, you can do a 500mm panning test. Just set the kit lens to ~250mm, and then enable the 2x digital zoom feature.
