Who's gonna try it with a Redrock or SGpro?

I would love to be able to use my m2 - problem is the relay lens - the fujinon lens doesnt focus close enough - and there doesnt seem to be any inexpensive solution for this part

if anyone has ideas I will try them
 
I don't think he is.

I'm sure somebody will find a solution. Maybe some kind of macro kit with the red rock... I don't know.
 
the issue is that you need to be able to focus, adjust iris and have macro functions on the relay - now I know why the ps techniks is so expensive - most of the cost might be in the lens.

trust me, i am feverish for a solution to use the M2 on the HPX - I check a list of message boards regularly and will let everyone know if I or someone else figures this out -

Perhaps red rock will work on a relay system - I heard rumor (dont know if its true) - that they are talking to zacuto about this.
 
that wont do it - its a 1/3 inch mount adapter - but that idea would work.

Although i think that is a couple thousand dollars :(

very interesting - is that yours? What do you have in front of the fuji lens to help focus on the glass?
 
the HPX-500 is rented from AVR....

The focus performed much better then thought...

I just couldn't get the counter balance perfect, but I had no problem with panning. and it didn't seem to strain the head at all...
the head is rated from 2,2 to 22 lbs...in hind sight I had about 24lbs on there so I'm probably going to go with out marshal monitor...with out the monitor and with my heaviest lens it weights in at 22 pounds...

but yes bumping up to the laser (suports 25 lbs) would be more appropriate...
