Who are some cool and obscure comic book characters that are deserving of a movie?

.... Maximum Carnage story retold.

A movie not about Spiderman... a movie not about Venom. A movie about how even heroes and villians can come together to face the horror of a true psychopathic killer. Being a villian is one thing, but carnage shows the true nature of evil. He slaughters innocent people for fun, has no motive.

He is much like the Joker from Christopher Nolan's Batman. He doesn't want money, or power. He just wants to see death. And to see Venom and Spiderman team up, it would be quite the film.

I would however, stay away from all the cameo's. I don't care much for doppleganger, shriek or carrion. Nor do I about Capt. America showing up and stuff. I'd rather just see the give and take relationship between Spidey and Venom, versus Carnage and perhaps some peeps from the asylum.
