There's the camera. AWB switch right below that circular panel, White Bal. switch on the bottom there below and to the right, with a line pointing to a custom white balance button.

Switch off AWB, put the White Bal. to A or B, then use the Custom White Balance button to set it.

I wont have time to set up the preset wb Dont you guys use a white balance card or something like that Im new to this im mostly a sound guy

Flip the switch to Preset and underneath the flip out LCD there are 3 switches that said A, B and K. A & B are the factory presets, use those.

Under the LCD theres incandescent and sunlight presets, then K. You can choose between those, just set the knobs on the left side, above picture, to AWB off and White Bal. to PRE.

Is automatic White Balance good on the A1. I shoot in all kind different lighting situation I don't even have time to set up the manual WB.

In my (limited) experience the AWB does a pretty good job. With a little practice it's easy to identify the scenarios that will throw it off and switch to manual when needed.
Being new to camcorders I find myself busy enough when shooting "run n' gun" without having to worry about WB. I have no qualms switching to AWB, knowing that I can correct in post should it fail.
