GH3 Which lens for m4/3 do you enjoy working with the most?

The Voights are remarkable little gems, but the lack of OIS leaves me reaching for the 12-35mm most often for handheld work, followed by 35-100mm.

Hey I haven't really seen or heard anyone compare the 25mm and 17.5 voigtlanders. Is the 17.5 focal length awkward? Is there anything lost in this lens vs the 25mm?

Thanks.

The lens I love is an old Nikkor 50mm 1.4. Wide open it's just consistently gorgeous - cutting between shots taken with that and with the 14-45mm kit lens, the Nikon's sharpness and colours are spectacular, and of course the narrow DoF. I'm looking for some affordable wider Nikkors; a whole film shot on them would be stunning.

I own and use both - but the 25er is clearly my "normal" lens and I have it on my camera next to all of the time. 17.5 is fine and has some nice features, especially the de-clicking, but as it is already a very wide wide angle - apart from crop-effect - it has some effects on the "architecture" of an image concerning angle of view and FOV which you have to take into consideration. Also the 17.5er is a bit bigger and heavier.

If you have to choose between the two and look for the more "normal" lens I'd highly recommend the 25er as first choice.

Thanks a bunch for the response Rolf. I don't really have that focal length down anyways(canon fd 24mm f2.8 doesn't really cut it) so I'll be on the buyer's lookout.

Zeiss 25mm/28mm 2.8 for me. It's pretty much the goto for just about anything I want to shoot. The Sigma 30mm 1.4 is next in line in case 2.8 doesn't cut it indoors.
